Veganism is the refusal to use non-human animals for purposes other than their own. That means not eating meat, eggs, or dairy or honey; it means not drinking milk, wearing leather or riding horses. It means many other things too. Not all vegans agree on what veganism means, but such is the nature of ideas.
I strongly recommend going vegan immediately. It's much easier than you might expect, and other things being equal, you will live longer. So will the animals you won't be paying anyone to torture and kill for you any more. It's win-win, it really is.
I'm trying to write a book about veganism. It is called 'The Vegan Imperative: Animals, Humans, and the Future of Life'. You can read the parts of it I have deemed fit for public consumption by clicking here.
